Artefill®

ArteFill® is the first permanent FDA-approved injectable filler. ArteFill® contains PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres and purified bovine collagen gel with an anesthetic. PMMA is one of the most widely used substances in medical implants with a proven safety record for over 60 years.

After an ArteFill® injection the microspheres that are suspended in the collagen become part of the patient's own tissue as the collagen is resorbed, filling in the wrinkle for enduring correction.
